Awakening Fields -
Darkness is carried away
by mild southern winds

Early morning, the sun isn’t up yet. Relatively warm southern winds blow across the fields. Then the sun rises above the horizon. Colors emerge, and the land seems to awaken from its deep sleep.

Have you ever gotten up this early on a morning early in summer? Then quickly eat something, and head outside where you are welcomed by the singing of birds that have been awake for a while? And then watched the landscape change, from shades of grey to fresh morning colours?

No? You really should do that sometime… Very soothing !

'Awakening Fields' is an artwork in my collection 'Along The Bank'.

I made this artwork standing on the sloping land bordering the western bank of the Visby Bredning. This is a part of the Limfjord in North Jutland, Denmark.
