'Suixtinction' is self-inflicted extinction, where species destroy vital conditions for life through overconsumption, pollution, and resource depletion. It's happening now, with dire consequences felt globally. This term and the related digital artwork mashup signify an urgent wakeup call to address these pressing environmental issues.
Wandering between dreams and reality on a crisp winter morning, the artwork 'Blooming Winter Dreams' captures a magical 3D effect, created by Karina Mosser painting on a photograph. Part of 'The Narrow Path' collection, both original and various print editions are up for grabs—drop a message to own one.
she lifts the shade, impatient for a glimpse of flight: a sparrow, a swallowtail— something with wings she can memorize.
The above stanza is from Laura Ann Reed's poem "As Clouds Before the Wind", and inspired me to make this artwork. Laura Ann is a poet from the US, her work particularly appeals to me. Moreover, she is a very inspiring woman; I am fortunate to have a regular email contact with her. Read more about Laura Ann and enjoy some of her poems via this link to her website. The entire poem is below the image of the artwork.
'A Glimpse Of Flight' is an artwork in my collections 'Secret Places'.

Laura Ann's poem:
As Clouds Before the Wind
There are borders toward which she moves, although she can’t say what galaxies they lie between.
Daily, she prepares for a parting in the trees, waits for the window hinge to break, the pane to crack
and fall. She’s ready for the wind to fill her room. She has one foot planted on another planet,
and in her sleep she yields naked to the Eros of its magnetic field— its ethereal embrace. When she wakes
she lifts the shade, impatient for a glimpse of flight: a sparrow, a swallowtail— something with wings she can memorize.
General info on this artwork
This is a digital artwork, printed with high-quality ink on museum-quality cotton paper (Hahnemühle Photo Rag® 308gsm). The work comes in a limited edition of 10, signed and with a certificate of authenticity.
For these artworks, I start with one or more photographs made by myself. I edit it in multiple process runs and in several layers by color manipulation and adding and editing multiple digital photographic effects. I do that until a surrealistic atmosphere is created that touches me and tells the story I want to tell.
The photograph(s) I begin with has/have an impressionistic, surrealistic or abstract realist style, which is the basis for all my work.
Through my artworks I ask you to reflect for a moment on the nature around you, on the beautiful feeling that nature can evoke, on your actions to support the wellbeing of the earth and everything that lives on it, on what humanity loses when many of us continue on the destructive path of ever more greed and consuming, on how you can survive in this rapidly changing world…
A tranquil night. On the distant horizon appears a moonlit sail, slowly driven by a light breeze.
As you probably know, Karina Mosser and I have been collaborating in various ways in the creation of new artworks.
With this artwork "Moonlit Sail" we proudly present to you a new artwork in this unique series. Karina painted on a print of one of my photographs.
The photo is printed on museum quality Hahnemühle Photo Rag and Karina painted with ink and watercolor. The size is 14"x22", ±35x56cm.
The buyer of this original painting will receive it from Karina, of course she will sign it and add a certificate of authenticity. Limited and Open edition prints are also available. I will sign the Limited editions and they also have a certificate. You can purchase them on Saatchi Art or directly from me. Contact one of us if you are interested.
I made my minimalistic photo on a cloudy winter evening at the beach of the North Sea, south of the town of Agger in Denmark.
ALL WE NEED IS LESS CONSUMING
Through my artworks I ask you to reflect for a moment on the nature around you, on the beautiful feeling that nature can evoke. Thus to think about your actions to support the wellbeing of the earth and everything that lives on it. And on what humanity loses when many of us continue on the destructive path of ever more greed and consuming. And please, reflect on how you can survive in this rapidly changing world…
A week ago I posted about "Fotopentrito" and "Fotopentriti". Two words the American panter Karina Mosser and I coined to describe our new collaboration in painting on a photograph.
For this post, I had quickly put together a triptych. It consisted of a painting by Karina, a photo of myself and a digital fusion between the two. The response on that triptych was so positive that I sat down to make it a real set of 3 artworks.
So here is the result, available as a triptych in any size. Besides that, the artworks are also for sale as three separate works, of course also in any size you desire. And of course available as limited edition artworks or as open edition prints.
On the left a painting by Karina, on the right a photo by me, in the middle a digital blend of the two.
Through my artworks I ask you to reflect for a moment on the nature around you, on the beautiful feeling that nature can evoke. Thus to think about your actions to support the wellbeing of the earth and everything that lives on it. A unique fusion of fine art photography and painting !
Sunrise brings a serenade beyond the dark silence of the night. The tender light gently touches the water and the reeds, in a duet with the wind
In recent months, the painter Karina Mosser (USA) and I have been collaborating in various ways in the creation of new artworks. And with this artwork "Sunrise Serenade", we have taken a new path. Karina painted on a print of one of my photographs.
The photo is printed on museum quality Hahnemühle Photo Rag. And on it Karina painted with ink and watercolor.
The buyer of this work will receive it from Karina, signed and with certificate of authenticity.
I made this impressionistic artwork which forms the basis of this work, in March 2019 in south and south east Sweden.
Hundreds of small islands lie off the coast of south-east Sweden. They usually consist of no more than rocky soil with shrubs and trees, surrounded by a collar of reeds. And on this beautiful winter day, at sunrise the light plays a serenade on the reeds, accompanied by the wind.

Thus to think about your actions to support the wellbeing of the earth and everything that lives on it. In my collaboration with Karina Mosser, we started a new project: painting on a photograph.
This isn't a unique way of creating art, it has been done before.
But with the fluid fusion of our styles and materials, we are sure that a series of unique works of art will emerge. We set out to find a word that would describe this medium well.
There is no existing word for painting on a photograph. So we composed two new words. We derived these from the words for 'painting' and 'photo' in the Esperanto language.
Thus arose Fotopentrito to denote the medium and a work of art painted on a photograph, and the word Fotopentriti to describe several works of art made in this way.
We will keep you update on our websites and on social media !
Below the first two of my artworks from the collection Infinite Sea to which Karina will add her unique style.

Here I Am is the second artwork in the collaboration with Tress.c
This is what she says about it:
"It is a darker work to show the bitter days, the tiring days where the light is the stronger element that conveys "she's not done yet, she's still putting herself through it."

A fellow artist told me about her way of working in an introductory conversation via the LinkedIn messenger. I wrote "if you have any ideas for collaboration sometime, let's hear it". And I totally meant that, because I love working with other artists.
That she would answer within two seconds "Oh, I already do !", I did not quite expect...
Tress.c (Visual Narrative Art) is a special artist. Using her own photography with edits in multiple layers, she creates artworks that tell a story. A visual story about the life of her daughter, who lives with "invisible" disabilities in the form of complex neurological disorders.
And now, as a beginning of our collaboration, she has created two artworks, using one of my photographs. The result is a powerful diptych representing the healing power of nature for her daughter. The power that calms her body, mind and spirit. Tress.c has chosen to create this diptych to show her daughter's innocence, her strength and that inner battle that shines brightly in her eyes. To show how she is fighting for her own life.
Here is the first artwork: Crying Pines. "Crying Pines", is full of light and calm, to show the victories, the peace in her daughter's heart and where she is facing the viewers, challenging them to look at her as a whole, not as a disability.
