Do you dream in color? Or in black and white? Or both, or do you not know? Are all people dreaming in different color palettes, or does everyone have her/his own palette?
A search for my color palette, an experiment.
Some people are always dreaming in color, other's in shades of gray, or both in an irregular variety. Many people are not sure, or hardly remember it. But I am quite sure I sometimes dream in surrealistic color palettes and atmospheres.
So does the color palette depend on what memories are processed, or on the subject, or your mood ?
And then, in that twilight zone during awakening,
the colors of the dream fade away.
I slowly turn onto my back,
trying to get loose
from the sticky sediments of my dream…
'In My Dreams' is a triptych in my collections ‘Secret Places’ and 'Digital Artworks'.
General info on this artwork
This 'Summer Evening At The Pond' artwork is a digital transformation of a photograph, printed with high-quality ink on museum-quality, acid-free cotton/rag paper (Hahnemühle Photo Rag® 308gsm). The work comes in a limited edition of 10, signed and with a certificate of authenticity. But of course, it is also available as Open Edition print, without signature and not numbered. Available in any size you desire !
Maximum size is 225Wx150H cm / 90wx60H inches. The work can be printed in any size up to that maximum, so please let me know the size you would prefer.
I start with one or more photographs made by myself to create these artworks. Then I use digital painting, color adjusting and adding and transforming multiple artistic effects, until a surrealistic atmosphere is created that touches me and tells the story I want to tell.
Prints are available in my Saatchi Art portfolio (click on the photos to visit the artwork pages at Saatchi Art), or order it directly from me on the Secret Places page or contact me through a message.
ALL WE NEED IS LESS CONSUMING
Through my artworks I ask you to reflect for a moment on the nature around you, on the beautiful feeling that nature can evoke. Thus to think about your actions to support the wellbeing of the earth and everything that lives on it. And on what humanity loses when many of us continue on the destructive path of ever more greed and consuming. And please, reflect on how you can survive in this rapidly changing world…

Thank you 🍏 !
I think I dream in color, but I’m not sure… I will try to remember the colors of my dreams tonight
It’s special how you don’t know that when someone asks you. I also had to pay special attention to find out. Thank you kæreste
I think I dream in lights coming out of darkness 😊🙏 Thank you very much Jacob, your artwork is really dreamful!
How beautiful, Beatriz. I can certainly relate to that. Thank you, and a happy Sunday to you
Thank you dear Jacob for most interesting theme, dreams are so important.
Guess that I sometimes had dreams with colors, even remember a dram long years ago with only brilliant white flowers in a wonderful garden I will never forget.
Best wishes for colorful Sunday.
Indeed, dear Ute, dreams ar important. What a wonderful memory that must be, of a garden with white flowers. Sometimes dreams can impress you so much that you never forget the story line and images.
