I reserve the right not to deliver the largest sizes, when the magnification is detrimental to the quality of the work. I will inform you about it when it applies to your order or inquiry.

I work for all prints with only a few professional print houses. Therefore, the quality is at very high level and consistent. Only if necessary or in your favor to reduce shipping costs and customs / taxes, I choose another print house. In that circumstance, details in materials and workmanship can vary, but will never be at the expense of quality.

All prices on this website are for prints I have made in Europe at my regular print houses.
If you live overseas, I can choose to have the prints made in your home country by a professional print house. The shipping costs etc. will then be considerably lower, and we also avoid an unnecessary CO2 emission. The printing costs may be a bit higher, but the total amount will always be lower than if I have your artwork printed in Europe.

Production
The production time is 5 to 10 working days, starting the first working day after the day I received your payment.
The exact production time depends on the quantity and dimensions.

VAT, customs
All prices include the VAT I have to pay in Denmark, and customs duties and customs handling as far as the courier charges me as the shipper of the prints.
However, when living outside the EU you may have to pay (supplement) VAT and/or customs duties / import charges and/or customs handling in your home country.
Please consult the relevant authorities of your country for details. Of course, the shipment will be accompanied by customs documents, if required for your country.

Packaging, shipment and insurance
Solid packaging -in a thick cardboard envelope for the smaller sizes, the larger sizes rolled in a solid cardboard tube or cardboard box- is included in the price.

Traceable shipping within Denmark is included in the price, traceable shipping within Europe and the rest of the world depends on destination, size and weight.
If you order 2 to 4 prints at the same time, the prints will be packed in 1 package and the shipping costs will be the same as for 1 print (the shipping costs for the largest print in your order).
Two to three framed prints will be packed in 1 package if the same size and if smaller than the maximum allowed/possible shipping size for express shipping.
I will inform you about the shipping costs and delivery time in a quote / email.

All shipments are insured against loss and damage. Of course you do not have to pay the costs for replacement when damaged during shipment!

Damage
In case of a damage of the artwork(s), you have to inform me by email within 48 hours after delivery. Please attach a photo of the damage to the email. Send the email to jacob@jacobberghoef.com

If the package of the artwork is damaged, do NOT send it back immediately with the courier. Have the courier make a note of the damage, take receipt of the package and inform me by sending me an email within 48 hours of the damage. Please take photos of the damaged package, and send those to me. Then unpack the artwork and let me know if the artwork is undamaged.

A damaged artwork will be replaced. Obviously, it should be clear that the damage was caused by the printer or by transportation.

Payment
Payment in Euro or US$ after you have approved the final quote / order confirmation, via Paypal or via bank transfer.
The order is final and production will start, after the amount has been credited to my account.

Return policy
I do not have any prints in stock, so you’re free to choose a size and material that suits your taste and fits your interior.
All sizes mentioned on this website or on any art website that offers my work, are an example.
Of course the prices mentioned therewith are the actual prices for the work with the mentioned material specifications in that size.
If you desire an artwork, I will provide a final quote based on your specifications (size, material, color and material of a frame, etc.). Almost all wishes can be fulfilled, just let me know through the contact or quote button or by email (in any language :) !
Since the work (one of a kind, open or limited edition, framed or not framed) is custom made for you according to your specifications, there is NO RETURN OPTION (right of withdrawal not applicable).

Cancellation
Cancellation of an order after I have given the order for production and received the order confirmation from the production laboratory, will result in the return of the amount paid minus the production costs. If the produced print is sold to another client within 3 years after production, the production amount will be refunded to the client who cancelled the order.

Black and white prints
Many of my color artworks are also very beautiful when printed in black and white, please contact me for consultation so I can send you some examples.

Prints on other materials
Ask for the possibilities and prices for prints on, for example, Fine Art Professional paper (silky gloss), Baryta paper (silky gloss, especially for museum quality black and white prints), Hahnemühle rag (matte, especially for museum quality black and white prints), wall paper, wood or textile.
Prints on various papers can also be mounted on Alu-Dibond or hard foam. Most of my photos are not suitable for mounting behind acrylic glass plate, because the print would lose the ‘soft feel’ that is so important for my work.

Reprint service
My work comes out best when printed on matte cotton paper, and framed without glass or foil.

But I am well aware that these prints are vulnerable to dirt, damage, insect traces, etc., and – except dusting – there are no possibilities to clean the prints.

Have you purchased a Limited edition or One-of-a-kind print from me, directly or through an art website, and has this print become dirty or damaged over time?
Then you can rely on the reprint service.
Against payment of the cost price and shipping costs, I will send you a new signed print. Of course this print has the same edition number as the print that you bought earlier.

When needed, send me a message or e-mail and I will answer with the conditions under which you can use this service !

About the Certificate of Authenticity
An original certificate is only issued once in singular form, to the first buyer of a Limited Edition or One-of-a-kind print. So make a copy or photo of the certificate for your archive. If a certificate is lost, then only the first buyer (whose name and address is known to me) or the second and subsequent buyers if their name and address have been passed on to me for inclusion in the register of signed editions, can receive a certified copy. There are conditions attached to this, ask as soon as necessary by sending a messageor e-mail .
