Harvest. Not by far over yet. Pears, apples, pumpkins, zucchini’s, the last few blueberries, Hawtorn...
And, of course, it is also the time to harvest seeds: Marigold, Poppy, Cornflower, Perpetual Kale, …
We also scattered the emerged seed of many (edible) plants around the plant so that hopefully more of them will germinate next year. Examples include 'Field Cabbage' (common nipplewort, Lapsana communis) and Musk Mallow (Malva moschata).

The collection
Nature is a huge, fascinating collection of details, each of them with its own 'set' of colors, patterns and textures. And at every moment of the day, wherever you go and no matter where you look, you will find a new, beautiful abstract natural artwork.
Exploring this infinite pallet by crawling through forests, fields and over beaches, provides a vast amount of material and inspiration for a new collection of abstract, slightly reworked artworks.
Will you join me on an exploration of our abstracted world? Nature is the best abstract artist there is, if you get up close…
'Nature's Secrets 11' is a new artwork in a new collection 'Nature's Secrets'. And if you're curious about what I photographed, be sure to take a look at this page. It is the only place where I tell what the secret behind the artwork is.
General info on this artwork
This artwork is a digital transformation of a photograph. Printed on order with high-quality ink on museum-quality, acid-free cotton/rag paper (Hahnemühle Photo Rag® 308gsm). The work comes in a limited edition of 10, signed and with a certificate of authenticity. But of course, it is also available as Open Edition print, without signature and not numbered. Available in any size you desire !
Maximum size is 150Hx150W cm / 60Hx60W inches, any size available up to that maximum. So please let me know the size you would prefer.
I start with one or more photographs made by myself to create these artworks. Then I use digital painting, color adjusting and adding and transforming multiple artistic textures and effects. I do this until there is a surreal atmosphere that touches me and tells the story I want to tell you.
Prints are available, ask for a quote or contact me through a message. Prints are also available in my Saatchi Art portfolio at the artwork page. And of course, as always available in any size you desire !
'Nature's Secrets 11' is also available on Fine Art America

ALL WE NEED IS LESS CONSUMING
Through my artworks I ask you to reflect for a moment on the nature around you, on the beautiful feeling that nature can evoke. Thus to think about your actions to support the wellbeing of the earth and everything that lives on it. And on what humanity loses when many of us continue on the destructive path of ever more greed and consuming. And please, reflect on how you can survive in this rapidly changing world…

Great and important message, dear Jacob!
Thank you very much Esther
Very nice Jacob and thanks for the information. I respect your decision about LinkedIn but I think that it was a good network to discover your artwork and to transmit your messages. To reduce our ecological footprint doesn’t mean, up to my mind, to live isolated. Less publications, like twice a week, could have been enough as a first step… I’ll miss you. Have a nice evening.
Thank you very much Laurence. Luckily, there is so much more in this world than LinkedIn, social media, internet… So isolated? No, absolutely not.
I’m not a man of small steps, I walk with firm strides toward my goal.
Besides that, LinkedIn is not what it used to be, the posts and interactions are devaluing, in my opinion. On top of this, the unstoppable implementation of AI and the hypocritical role played by Microsoft are enough reasons for me to say goodbye to it.
I’ll miss you too… Have a wonderful evening and weekend
Just shared delight about your ongoing harvesting and so sublime art creation
dear Jacob !
Thank you very much, dear Ute
