I made this photo on a windy summer day, near the town of Vestervig in North Jutland, Denmark.
It’s a view over the fields and the lake Ørum Sø, part of the nature reserve National Park Thy.

The sky above the Limfjord in the colors of this beautiful sunset. The water of the fjord, as always, gives a beautiful reflection of the sky.

A soft, thick blanket of sea fog covers the land. It is quiet, even the surf of the sea, only 30 meters away, is barely audible. The water of the lake and the mist become one, the horizon disappears.

It is quiet on this autumn evening. A gentle sea breeze faintly lets out the murmur of surf from the sea behind the dunes. The waters of the lake are deserted, the geese have not yet returned from their evening meal in the fields.

A Salty Palette
A sunny but cold fall day. There is a lot of wind at this lake, which is merely a few kilometers away from the North Sea and only separated from it by a row of not too high dunes and a second lake. The feeling I had while standing on the borders of this lake: the salty wind mixes the watery sunlight with the cool, Nordic colors of this landscape...

Summer Morning
Just a summer morning…
Early on a sunny summer morning on the eastern banks of Krik Vig, a side arm of the Limfjord. Standing at about thirty meters above sea level, I have a beautiful view from here over ‘my’ beloved nature reserve Agger Tange – a narrow strip of wetland behind the dunes – with the North Sea behind it. What a fantastic start to a new day!

Frozen Stillness

A cold, windless day on the banks of the Limfjord. The sun is almost setting, a thin cloud cover filters the light and makes the water shine beautifully, as if it is frozen. The water is very shallow here, the sandbanks are often visible because they seem to disturb the water surface slightly.
