The enormous diversity of colors of sunrises and sunsets and the completely different atmospheres they create, fascinate me.
The sunsets over the North Sea and the coastal area of western North Jutland, especially in autumn and winter, are famous for their magical Nordic color palette: a fascinating monologue of the sun from the first to the last second.
But also in many other locations and in other seasons, I have photographed sunrise and sunset to express the emotion they evoked in me.

Realizing this, I set to work on the sunset I made a few years ago on the coast of North Jutland…. Looking for the limits, meanwhile actually hoping never to find them….

Beyond A Dream
When I use relatively fast movements to photograph a sunset with a rich color palette and a wide variety in brightness, my camera often struggles to keep up with me and come up with a good image every time. And that results in a large number of failed photos.
But then, what is good, what is failure... ;)

Sometimes the colors of a sunset are so intense that you never forget that evening and it warms you inside, no matter how cold it is outside. This sunset over the Limfjord is one in that category.
