Where is the journey going to?
Everything we know has an end, one last breath before there's nothing left. Every journey goes to that end, to the ultimate nothing...
Red, ultramarine blue, green (emerald) are there in this light that paints our world so that the mind awakens to the infinite diversity of beings so that we can feel that the universe is a symphony.
Light in a dark universe. An infinite symphony of colors, silence, fragile sounds from the source of life.
Experiments with light, while using only the basic settings of digital and analog camera's.
Nothing?
Nothing.
Nothing at all,
not even… ?
No, nothing at all.
But, there, far away, there
I see something,
right?
Yes, but it stays there, doesn't
come any closer.
A mirage, a
promise
that will
never be fulfilled.
Wow... That makes me
silent
for a moment....
Yes.
Still nothing?
No, still nothing.
And am I seeing correctly, the mirage is
further away than ever?
Yes. That's what promises do when they are
not fulfilled.
But now, there are many more now.
Doesn't that help?
Only illusions. Dreams with many conditions.
If, if, if.
Is there no way to change things?
Of course there is.
Willpower,
collective willpower,
ignited and fueled by reality.
Then where is that willpower?
It follows fear after
it
hit us.
Only then?
Yes.
Sometimes the heart of a flower is so bright yellow that it seems as if a flower captures the sunlight and stores it in its heart so that it can then bloom exuberantly.
Experimental photography, aiming to make the heart of a small flower shine like the sun.

Embrace the silence of darkness
Find comfort in the scant light
of a candle and the winter sun
Anuscka and I decided to spend a day "in darkness" every week. Figuratively speaking that is, it will be a day with minimal use of electricity and no use of the internet, and screens in general.
Why? Because we are curious to see how we like it. Because we want to spend less time behind screens. Because we would like to have a recurrent period of silence and reflection. Because using very little electricity for a day contributes significantly to reducing our CO2 footprint...
Embrace the joy of daylight
Find comfort in the bright light
of a fresh breeze and the winter sun
Our day with no screens, no internet and (almost) no electricity was a breath of fresh air.
Literally, because we took a long walk. Figuratively, because we reflected and talked about our online time and use of electrical devices. Even in our minimalistic household, this generated several immediately implementable ideas, providing peace of mind, time for reflection, time to do different things for a change, and saving on our CO2 emissions.
So we will continue to do this. One day off-i and off-e every week.
We can heartily recommend it, if only to become aware of your i-use and e-use and the alternatives that are available.
Artwork: Inverted version of the artwork 'In Darkness'
On the day of origin
the light is calling, the world
softly chants your name
Slowly open your eyes and let the light touch you.
'Origin' is an experimental photograph, made with a digital camera without using a lens.
It is the first result of a search for light in its purest form, and at the same time a representation of the beginning and end of life, followed by the last breath: the return to the arms of the origin.

The end of a journey
the light is calling, the destination
softly chants your name
Slowly close your eyes and let the light embrace you.
'Destination' is an experimental photograph, made with a digital camera without using a lens.
It is the second artwork in a search for light in its purest form, and at the same time a representation of the beginning and end of life, followed by the last breath: the return to the arms of the origin.
Back in her arms,
she breathes you in, she
softly chants your name
Let yourself be carried away, know that you are floating on her breath.
'Breath' is an experimental photograph, made with a digital camera without using a lens.
It is the third artwork in a search for light in its purest form, and at the same time a representation of the beginning and end of life, followed by the last breath: the return to the arms of the origin.
Don't you want to come
and see the light? One blink
of the setting sun.
Do you know those moments? A low sun, just above the trees, in a completely clear sky, in the foreground a lake that reflects all the light. You know you better not do that, but you look at the sun for a moment. You are blinded, it takes a while before your vision recovers.
That makes me curious: what will the camera do if I point it very quickly at the sun, without giving it time to adjust to the enormous flood of light? Can I blind the camera for a short moment, just like my eyes do?
A quick, short movement. An experiment...
The light of the setting sun reflects festively in the waves of the sea. The camera sees much more intense colors than I do, and the shadow part of the wave is blacker than black: as if the pixels are not there for a moment.
