.....And 'Summer Sunset (8)'. Two new sunset artworks, with just under two weeks to go before summer arrives. We have had a welcome amount of rain over the past few weeks. Young vegetable plants have benefited greatly from this, and our water reserves have been replenished. The soil is not yet completely saturated, but it will be sufficient if we have the occasional shower. The plants are now longing for some sun and a little more warmth...

A silt fragrance,
fresh from the west
Clouds close
the curtain of the day
Enjoying evening's cool
sea breeze
The horizon
without a word
covering the sun

A beautiful sunset above the Limfjord, initiated by a decreasing wind and increasing clouds. And then as evening falls, summer clouds take possession of the sky at the end of a warm August day.

This artwork is based on a photo I made standing on the shore of Krik Vig, a bay in the Limfjord, Thy region, North Jutland, Denmark.

A sip of the pink sea

After a long, hot day, the evening gently takes a small sip of the cool sea. The sea breeze brings relief and caresses us to sleep.

'Summer Sunset (8)' is an artwork in my collection 'Evening Falls'.
It is based on a photo that I made at the end of a sunny summer day, standing in the fields near my house and looking towards nature reserve Agger Tange and the North Sea.
