Iris is a flowering plant genus of more than 300 species with showy flowers.
Iris is not only the scientific name, but is also widely used as a general name for all Iris species.
Autumn Fire
Cold trees lean against the morning sun,
full of longing.
Light swirls around the fading leaves,
a rustling autumn fire.
Early in the morning in a forest near the city of Nijmegen, the Netherlands. It is cold, but the autumn sun warms everything it touches.
